About
One of three exterior murals commissioned for Chick & Hawk's opening, alongside Shepard Fairey's piece and Mark Gonzales's piece. Persue is a San Diego native who entered the skateboard industry as a self-taught graffiti artist in 1992; in 2001 he created his signature character BunnyKitty partly to soften graffiti's public image amid the negative press it received at the time. He co-founded We Are Wet Paint, an anti-tagging street-art advocacy initiative and traveling art show, and published a book on BunnyKitty's origins in 2016.
