Painted right after a trip to South America, which inspired the landscape. Just Peachy inspired the picnic: Di Stefano loves bananas, so of course they made the cut, paired with other favorite fruit and snacks from the market in a still-life spread. Funnily enough, our picture shows a stack of banana boxes right next to the piece. Wyn must have worked up an appetite painting this one. One of 2 works Di Stefano has in this stretch: the Just Peachy – Orange Grove mural is a few feet away. Same block, same hand.
