An ode to Mother Nature and the California coast. Skye Walker painted the original as a donation to the community through the inaugural Paint Encinitas mural program in 2014, on what was then Ruby's Bar (Ruby Nelson, owner). Nearly a decade later, in September 2023, he returned to redo it from scratch: fully freehand, no tracing or projections, over five days and his 45th birthday, during the Leucadia Art Walk. For the repaint, he based Mother Nature's face on a portrait of Scout Forsythe's that he'd seen online, its pose matching the original mural.
