Painted in 2026 by Micaiah Hardison, a Leucadia native who grew up a few yards from the surf and has spent his career painting the sea in oil. The location is the joke: Hermes — Greek messenger god, caduceus in hand — surfs a perfect wave on the wall of an apartment building on the street that shares his name.
