Fairey called it an honor when Tony Hawk asked him to create this mural for his eatery, Chick & Hawk. Hawk has long been a skate hero of his, going back to when Fairey used to ride one of Hawk's boards in the late 1980s. One of three exterior murals at the restaurant, alongside Mark Gonzales's piece and Dave Persue's piece. Fairey also has a separate piece nearby, AK-47 Lotus & AR-15 Lily.
