Created by San Diego-based artist Sergey Gornushkin in 2021, approved by the city in 2024, and installed at Leucadia Oaks Park in early 2025. Neptune Jr. depicts a cherub riding a hammerhead shark atop a 15-foot column, built to sway slightly in the coastal breeze. Cast in pro-bond concrete, fiberglass, ceramic, and aluminium; valued at $25,000. On loan from the artist.
